Remember~ Remember~ Remember!

Poppies

Remember them of yesterday..

Remember them that fell today,

Remember them in faraway lands

Remember them for they too had plans

Remember Them…

Remember the old soldiers of World war one..

The Great War to end all wars that was won..

Remember too all the battles that still rage

As History turns yet another page..

Remember them..

Remember too all who serve,

With medals adorned and well deserved.

The medics who brave their lives to retrieve

Those brave soldiers who too they grieve

Remember them.

Remember the people who still live in fear

Nothing has changed much over the years

Remember our thoughts can alter and change

For Peace to dwell as we re-arrange

Remember them

Remember our thoughts as we Remember the past-

Can alter the future for a New Peace to last

All we need do is embrace the Peace

Then no lives in war need to be deceased

Remember Them

Remember all those who are serving in our armed forces where ever they may be in this world.. Remember those that gave their lives, those who have horrific injuries and those loved ones who are left behind to pick up the pieces of life..

Remember those who are still suffering horrendous lives as they fight for their freedom in foreign lands,

Remember the children!

And while we sit and remember…

 Remember also

WE are the only ones who can CHANGE our World to live in PEACE. This means living in harmony with our Families, our Neighbours, and in our Communities showing we are there for one another not against one another.. Regardless of colour, creed, or political preferences

Remember!

WE ARE ONE!

~Peace~

No thank you David.. We are each adding our own ‘Wave’ to the consciousness if we all just stand up and be counted and see by changing our thoughts we change the world… Peace is found within and once we find that Peace it will reflect outward in our world..
Blessings and have a great weekend

I see people wearing Poppies, but I think the younger ones are remembering the men and women who perished during the Falklands war, Desert storm etc and NOT the great wars. That was too long ago for them to grieve over. Just a thought !!!

I think awareness in schools is perhaps more than we think, as alot of this younger generation are seeing on the news soldiers in Afghanistan loosing lives and being terribly injured .. The Great War ‘ the wall to end all wars’ yes seems way back there in History Books.. We havent moved on much in terms of learning to live together in Peace, or invade another’s country when there is profits to be had.. While out in Africa, terrible internal wars are taking place with many atrocities happening, and yet because there is no oil to be had, no one is bothered about their plights as famine and war rage their lands..
And I always feel ashamed of our M.O.D. that the British Legion has to raises so much money, to help support our fallen Heroes and families as it is them that gives those soldiers and families a better standard of life after they are discharged after serving their country with wounds… Ok Rant over.. Have a good weekend Kenny

If so many of us are opposed to war why can’t we raise our voices to the point where they’re heard??? That was a beautiful tribute to Veteran’s Day.

Thank you Ronnie so very much, yes why can we not all raise our voices … We will, soon I feel it… the time is coming when many see the pointlessness of war.. And Many see how its contrived … and soon I hope we shall all see that there is only one way we can go forward if we are not to destroy one another, and that is to start and embrace each other in harmony and peace.. We are all brothers and sisters upon this planet, regardless of our labels and packaging… for we are ALL of us Human Beings …. and all of us now need to wake up to our hearts and start and live from a point of love, not fear..

Wishing you a wonderful week Ronnie.. x

Yes Emu, many forget and yet many more remember, and let us hope in the not too distant future, the sacrifices of the fallen throughout all of History, will one day help mankind see, the futility of war and its suffering…I so pray that one day Humans can learn to live in Peace.. but that day I think is for our grandchildren who are being born so strong today, who will be working so hard to achieve.. Lets hope they are successful for their sakes my dear friend.. Sue
