The Snow Flake

The Snow Flake

Photobucket

There it came out from the sky

Fluttering softly, gentle as a sigh

First one, then a few,

Then a million or two

Photobucket

Each one unique in pattern and form

Together they joined so perfectly

A Blanket so thick, building silently.

Photobucket

Children awoke with glee in their eyes

Gathering up their winter surprise

Adults too went walking afar

To place their feet upon Virgin Stars

Photobucket

Sunlight glistened on crystallised ice

Breath on wind, the feeling was nice

Red rosy cheeks, as icy winds felt

While dogs jumped in air catching balls that did melt.

Photobucket

Imprints of boots with sledges in tow

Trudging up hills, to slide and let go

Magical, glistening, sparkling pure white

A world it transformed, and all overnight.

 Photobucket

And it all began with a flake or two

A carpet of white, just waiting for you

Winter wonderland, embrace and partake

In the beautiful gift of a humble Snow Flake..

Lovely Dreamwalker each snow is completly different it is truly amazing. No snow here in this part of Cornwall anyway, very cold and icy, last night was freezing. A white Christmas would be lovely. I to wished the UK could deal with it , they are prepared with extra salt at least here. Hugs and hope you enjoy your rest. Thank you lovely Hugs Sheila xx

Beautiful Sue , a magical fairyland for all ages , I can feel the fun and laughter and the joy of waking up to this mystical wonderland , beautiful and one I can only read of in words as those scenes are far removed from the harsh Australian climes here.
Bless you Sue and much love

Yes nature’s carpet Currie always upstages the material ones.. And lets face it my dear friend.. Nature will always be here, while the material will gather dust and be forgotten.. x
