Sleeping Star.
Silent is the night whose velvet touch I seek
As elusive is her embrace as I search for sleep
A million stars that twinkle and I wonder what they are
As I search the night sky for my one and only star
Each of us are born beneath their guiding light
We follow our path each held in their sight
Constellations too numerous to see
But all have an effect upon you and me
The moon with her halo pulls at the tides
as within our emotions she pulls too and cries
Scientists explain that we are all made from the same
Star dust within our bodies a Universe complete
To dust once more returning as our maker we greet
And all around the silence it echoes in my mind
Searching for answers to the questions that I find
But silent is the night whose velvet touch I seek
As elusive is her embrace as I search for sleep
