Olympic Shame…..

The Olympic Games is something we all look forward to.. And yet for some in Vancouver all the Olympics have done is bring about destruction and pain..

Please watch this video.. And listen the Indigenous First Nations people, who have found themselves again at the forefront of being discriminated against and being treated as second class citizens..

I have several friends in Canada and I know that those who have found themselves homeless are being treated very harshly by the authorities out there as the Olympics 2010 want to present to a world a ‘Place of Perfection’, so they are systematically ill treating and telling the homeless to get out of town or worst, as I have even heard tell of them being cleansed from the streets!

Each of our Big Cities have this problem.. I saw it for myself in Vancouver when I travelled there a Decade ago.. But how on earth are these people supposed to live, If they are shunted from pillow to post, sometimes through no fault of their own.. Yes I know some are deep Drug addicts, but many are not..

When will the injustices stop? When Elderly woman in the seventies are put in jail because they speak up for their peoples Freedoms..

Dreamwalker, while you surely bring up a very good point, this situation, as bad as it is, has been going on for many years, in the olympic countries as the host countries try to portray to the world a glowing picture o their country. Your friends spoke up well..its the strong and mighty overpwering the weak. Now as to the winter olympics in 2010 it will happen. I would think this provided many jobs to the poor…what to do with the homeless and poor..always a nations concern..I dont know..we should all help the truly needy. xxx ME

Each of us, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety, or pain. Your thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward.. I hope that I can send a few ripples out via the web of life, as we each of us weave the threads together... Welcome to my Sanctuary of Peace and Love... May we each spread our Lights around our World....Sue Dreamwalker
