No News Like Good News..

If I had my way I would ban the News the channels as all they belch out is negative vibes into our very homes. We then get tainted with all the depression that it loves to report. So we are kept fearful and worry, which helps to keep us in control.. And yes I know we can all switch off the TV.. But can we really switch off from what is happening in our world today?

I know that there is Good out there in this world.. But it never gets mentioned, Why?, because it’s not News worthy.. So we get told of all the horrors, and now it’s the turn of the economy, the weather, Next it will be the discontented, followed by strikes and protests, and low and behold a spiral of more sorrow escalates..

I do not wish to add to this spiral, Yet in a sense I suppose I am.. For the poem I have written contains that bad news.. I just hope that each of you realise that to change the world, we first must look at ourselves and change the way we act and behave..

It’s no good  us saying that nations shouldn’t be at war with each other, if we are selves have disputes with neighbours, friends or relatives..

There is much need for improvement in our societies, but let’s not forget that our societies are made up of individuals like ourselves.. So to change them we need to change ourselves, the way we act and think.. And let’s not forget, Our thoughts have much more power than any of us give them credit for..

Everything in our material world was once somebody’s thought..

So come on Media.. Spread some Happy News!!!…

The News..

The news bombards us every day

With doom and gloom in things they say

I wish they could see the dark they spread

In reckless vibes that spreads its web

We know the world in violence turns

But with each story my stomach churns

Of stabbings now of children young

Initiates’ of gangs they belong

Robberies in violent raids

And verbal torrents in fits of rage

Our animals, pets escaping not

They’re killed and maimed and even shot

Today a father he went mad

In Aussie land it’s all so sad

In fits of rage how can it be?

And left behind the grief we see

The elderly are afraid to walk to the shop

As gangs of children loose the plot

In my youth we made a din

But at least we knew the Discipline..

Do-gooders now seem to rule

As discipline escapes our schools

At home too we cannot smack

Is this perhaps what they lack?

I don’t condone violent abuse

But Discipline we need its use

Let’s work to help put back respect

We must act now and not neglect

The fact that many do not feel loved

Can we reach out take up the glove?

Within our towns to tackle crime

Send out your thoughts..Use your Mind

To judge not I know is hard

With pieces of puzzle’s we put on card

We first need to look within our own hearts

That is where we need to start

So let’s make some Good News today

And spread the Light in all we say

I know my Blog is depressing too

But the world is made of Me and YOU

So  bring some Happy News Today…

YES i so agree – although i was looking at an update from group onfacebook before ( ow was it bob proctors) who said we uoght to list a news item & then turn it round to how we could make it better – is in a positive frame of mind- ie the land prices fall- being able to to buy it now and then be able to sell it at a later date for a huge profit !!HAPPY news to you too hun ~x~

Mentioning this effect does help us to recognise it for what it is an din that sense your entry and poem are very helpful, as they were intended. Bringing all of the negative mechanisms to Light does bring us into conciousness of it, then we hold power to choose to let it go. Truly, one does not want to add to this energy mechanism by worrying or complaining about it–best to dispassionately just see it and release it, using it as a cue to see the bright side, always, for it is always there, waiting to be noticed. You\’re right–it\’s what we focus on that comes into being.

Dreamwalker… I could not read the rest of your poem after I read the line about the Father in Australia, as this very thing had me in tears for hours last night. The whole country is in total shock that such an awful thing could happen. I saw an update today that the Father had infact left a note but I just couldn\’t handle to hear anymore. I am praying for this family… for the two brothers to watch their little sister thrown off a bridge 68 meters to her death and passers by that couldn\’t do a thing to stop it, really is beyond words. Only the other day I was saying I like to watch the News… "The News. I know it\’s not always good but I like to hear whats going on in the world and see what I can do to produce better results in my world and others." Now I am pondering over that very statement I made… words fail me!

The only hope we have is grassroots, one heart a time transformation. It then extends out to the family, neighborhood… Beautiful post. Sometimes we must write about the negative in order to portray the light!

Each of us, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety, or pain. Your thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward.. I hope that I can send a few ripples out via the web of life, as we each of us weave the threads together... Welcome to my Sanctuary of Peace and Love... May we each spread our Lights around our World....Sue Dreamwalker
