Driving the Nails Home.

Photobucket

There once was a child who had a bad temper.
His Father gave him a bag of nails   and told him that every time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the back of the fence.

The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence.
Over the next few weeks, as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily
gradually dwindled down. The boy discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to
drive those nails into the fence.

Finally the day came when the boy didn’t lose his temper at all. He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper.

The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone.
The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence.
He said, ‘You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence.  The fence will never be the same.

When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one.  You can put a knife in a man and draw it out.  It won’t matter how many times you say "I’m sorry," the wound is still there.

Angry words are just like that.

They leave holes in others.

May you find serenity and tranquillity in a world you may not always understand.
May the pain you have known and the conflict you have experienced give you the strength to walk through life facing each new situation with courage and optimism.
Always know that there are those whose love and understanding will always be there, even when you feel most alone.
May a kind word, a reassuring touch, and a warm smile be yours every day of your life, and may you give these gifts as well as receive them.
May the teachings of those you admire become part of you, so that you may call upon them.
Remember, those whose lives you have touched and who have touched yours are always a part of you, even if the encounters were less than you would have wished. It is the content of the encounter that is more important than its form.
May you not become too concerned with material matters, but instead place immeasurable value on the goodness in your heart. Find time in each day to see beauty and love in the world around you.
Realize that what you feel you lack in one regard you may be more than compensated for in another. What you feel you lack in the present may become one of your strengths in the future. May you see your future as one filled with promise and possibility. Learn to view everything as a worthwhile experience.
May you find enough inner strength to determine your own worth by yourself, and not be dependent on another\’s judgment of your accomplishments.
    May you always feel loved.

Very true. Just letting you know that the osteo prosis issue for me is very different due to treatment for the lymphoma and extensive use of predisone for my cancer. Some it takes years for it to happen and others well its fast and furious. I have been on calcuim since I have been in treatment but its as of now with bone scans that concern is fractures at rapid rate when no injury is present. The other thing is my bone marrow and what all that could mean in the cancer respect. Yes we need to care for our bones. and thats been done. Just hard when you done all things that needed doing and your still progressing to fast for the likings of your docs. So its kinda all very strange and the test will shead more light on it . I hope due to already having a base line test done to compare the new one to.  So thats that. I guess. Taking it one day a time its all any one an do and keep our trust in God.
