Spring heralds in the time we start to feel like cleaning out those cobwebs and opening windows as we join in with Natures Growth of Renewal. Its a time to spring clean and plant seeds, dig the garden, and tidy up those overflowing cupboards.. No? you mean you already did? I bet there is one thing you forgot to Wipe away the dust from …
Your Mind!
Wipe Away the Dust
Wipe away the Dust form the Layers of your Mind
Crawl out from the Darkness, seek the Light and find
Answers to your questions are there for you to see
Look deep within, Begin with ME,
~~
Many times my voice cries out to be heard
Often I hold back, in case I’m thought absurd
But the time now has come to seek answers I need to find
As I wipe away the Dust from the Layers of my Mind
~~
Calling me home the layers begin to peel
Life plays out its dramas, just go with what you feel
To change the thought your thinking, go within and listen well,
Alter the reality in which you dwell
~~
Wipe away the Dust from the Layers of your Mind
Perceive a new Horizon, allow yourself to shine
Blow away the cobwebs of the Web that holds you tight
Look beneath the Darkness, start and shine your Light
~~
Brighten up your thoughts, let go of ‘Woe is ME’
And soon you will see through the veil of reality
The illusion of perception and the Data we receive
Peels back more layers of those who would deceive
~~
So wipe away the Dust from the layers of your Mind
For the TRUTH is out their
And it’s up to YOU to find.
~~

As soon as the sun shines Sue, I find my mind begins to work so much better, not as sluggish and set on auto, it self cleans and makes ready for a new Season, one of renewal… and as you say ‘sweeps’ the dust of lethargy away. Lovely poem, my friend, one to take note of and respond to with gusto. Love and light,…and hugs always. xPenx

Me too Pen, but we are as connected to the Sun as we are the Moon.. so it shouldn’t surprise us that the Sun always makes us feel better. I cleared out my cupboards and wardrobe in February, but still have a few draws to tackle.. not to mention the recesses in my mind.. 🙂 Wishing you a peaceful weekend Pen.. Even though the sun his hiding again.. xxx

Brilliant! The mental cobwebs are often the sneakiest ones to clear but make the largest impact. Thank you for reminding us of this. Have a wonderful weekend, too!

Hi Lehua, yes these are sneaky… and often when you just think you cleared the last of them away, up pops another sneaky thought to catch you unaware.. So the duster is a constant tool! 🙂 xxx

A-ha-ha …yes!! Cleaning out the dust and clutter… Easier said than done. Just think how long we need to clean [I mean really clean] our houses – head to tow, including decluttering – a work that needs to be done very regularly as dust and clutter accumulates. A house is of specific size. Imagine applying this to a brain [of which we only ‘know’ a tiny tiny tiny part!]. Oh, well… at least we have various types of meditation to help! Smiling. Happy dusting, my dear Sue! 🙂 xxxx

Just how is that cleaning going Marina? all those boxes unpacked yet? and while I often can leave a layer of dust untended for a while around the house 😀 I can no neglect the accumulation of the clutter I retain in the mind.. You are so right, Just where do we start? And I totally agree… Meditation is one of the best tools I have too…. Lets keep on Dusting, and clearing out the corners of our minds.. xxx Big hugs xox

Glorialana, so lovely that you dropped in to comment, I loved that you came by… And I am happy my words inspire… We have much need around the world these days for inspiration, and we need to wipe away more of those layers we each have allowed to build up within ourselves and within our communities… Once we dust off those thought patterns we will see we are all the same beneath… 🙂 xxx Thank you for your wonderful visit I appreciate your thoughts xox Sue

Call me strange, but I do genuinely relish spring cleaning! How often do we have the opportunity to clear out the clutter that keeps us stuck and start fresh? New opportunities only come when there’s room to invite them in… 🙂

It certainly is.. and I still have some more draws to clean out too!… But I am enjoying catching up with my comments for this morning.. I have baking plans for this afternoon.. A treacle sponge pudding is on the cards for this evenings dinner… I went out for a meal last week and had one, the first in years.. and it set my tastes buds a tingling, so I had a Mary Berry cookbook given me for Christmas and in it is a great recipe for one.. So I am experimenting this afternoon, .. I may take pics stage by stage.. and add to my recipe section… I am having Fun this week as I am not at work until Sunday… So de-stressing! And being creative! and just loving my ME time!! 🙂 😀 >3
